Hey guys! I’m back from roughly a two month long hiatus in which I have spent studying. Every.single.moment. Ahhhhh! At any rate, last Friday, the 11th, I am happy to report that I successfully took and PASSED the MBLEx. I am once again a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Louisiana! I am so ready to be back in the business of wellness. I worked so hard preparing myself for this test, and my hard work paid off! This test was a doozie though. I was worried. But overall, things turned out well. Now, I’m not sure what to do with this free time I have on my hands…
Excellent article about my beloved New Orleans by the one and only, Chris Rose. Check out his book 1 Dead In Attic. You won’t be sorry you did. We celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the hussy who nearly out-done us all…. She thought she won, but we SURVIVED, and we came back STRONGER than ever. Long live New Orleans! Laissez le bon temps roulet!
Herman Melville met Nathaniel Hawthorne for the first time at a picnic. Melville dedicated his most famous novel Moby Dick to Hawthorne, and Hawthorne dedicated his most famous novel The Scarlet Letter to Melville. Pretty neat little literary fact I thought. You’re welcome!

Today, my wife and I exchanged vows and are legally recognized in our home state of Louisiana. We had our son and closest family with us today witnessing at the Justice of the Peace’s office. Afterwards, we all went out for a fantastic lunch, and rainbow cake! Aug. 7th we celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary; we have been together a total of 7 years. So in a way, this is almost like our very early and awesome anniversary present! Thanks to the Supreme Court and all couples involved in the national cases. We were the first same-sex couple to be married in Tangipahoa Parish. We always thought this day would come, but also never saw it happening this soon. We figured we would be old and grey before this was legalized. So beyond blessed and happy to have witnessed history being made, and to be involved in the making of it. Everyone everywhere deserves to be happy with whomever or however they choose to live their life. LOVE WINS!!!!!!
