Today, my wife and I exchanged vows and are legally recognized in our home state of Louisiana. We had our son and closest family with us today witnessing at the Justice of the Peace’s office. Afterwards, we all went out for a fantastic lunch, and rainbow cake! Aug. 7th we celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary; we have been together a total of 7 years. So in a way, this is almost like our very early and awesome anniversary present! Thanks to the Supreme Court and all couples involved in the national cases. We were the first same-sex couple to be married in Tangipahoa Parish. We always thought this day would come, but also never saw it happening this soon. We figured we would be old and grey before this was legalized. So beyond blessed and happy to have witnessed history being made, and to be involved in the making of it. Everyone everywhere deserves to be happy with whomever or however they choose to live their life. LOVE WINS!!!!!!
